Support for Adults with a Recent Neurodivergent Diagnosis
Receiving an Autism, ADHD or AUHD diagnosis in adulthood can bring a mix of emotions that don’t always have clear names. Spending years achieving, excelling, pushing yourself, yet still feeling like an imposter. Wondering why success never quite quieted the self-doubt. Small criticisms or bits of feedback have always landed sharply, lingering longer than they should.
Wearing labels that never reflected your intentions, your depth, your passion or your strengths. “too much,” “too sensitive,” “too intense,” or “not enough”. Shaping yourself around those expectations, masking, over-functioning or quietly struggling while trying to make sense of why life felt harder than it seemed for everyone else.
Receiving a diagnosis in adulthood isn’t just a moment of clarity, it’s a shift in identity. It can bring relief, validation and a sense of finally being seen. It can also bring grief for the years spent navigating without the right language or support. All of these feelings are real, and they deserve space.
I offer a place where you can explore this recognition with honesty and dignity. A space where your experiences are believed, your strengths are honoured, and your story is understood in context.
This work is reflective, but it’s also practical. We identify barriers that have made life harder, develop strategies that support comfort, regulation and executive functioning, and strengthen your self-advocacy in relationships, workplaces and daily life.
We also look at how to build understanding and support from the people around you family, partners, colleagues and community.
My aim is not to change who you are. It’s to help you value yourself more deeply, navigate the world with greater ease, and feel supported as you move from surviving to flourishing.
